Ross Hill Teams Make Regional Finals!

The Ross Hill Open Rugby League team and the Open Netball team have played their way through to the regional final in their respective State Knockout competitions. Both teams began their journey at the beginning of term 2 when they played their first games and have progressed through the first four rounds being undefeated.

The girls have defeated Bingara, Glen Innes, Warialda and Narrabri in their preliminary rounds and will now meet Tamworth South in the regional final to be played at the Ross Hill School court in week 4. The girls have been training conscientiously under the guidance of staff members Mrs Cath Lyell and Mrs Jamie Scott and are looking forward to the challenge of their next game.

The boys have also enjoyed a series of games against Inverell Public, Glen Innes, Moree and Coonamble on their way to the regional final where they will meet Tamworth Public in what should be a great game on Thursday at 12 noon at the Inverell High School oval. The boys have been training under the guidance of Mr Trent Uebergang and Mr Preston Connors. They are excited in anticipation of their next game.

We would like to thanks all the parents of these teams who have assisted in any way so far in this competition. Parents, friends and community members are invited to come and support the teams in their respective games. Ross Hill Rugby League Team

Active After School Care

This year, Ross Hill Public School continues to receive a grant from the Australian Government through the Australian Sports Commission.

The grant is for the 'Active After-School Communities Program'. It focuses on the development of mobility and motor skills. It aims to provide children with inclusive participation in a safe and fun structured environment.

It is also designed to engage traditionally non-active children in structured physical activity and to build pathways with local community organisations.
